Foco and the Mexican production company Dopamine face the international co-production of the series Reina Roja. Amazon Prime Studios will be the platform that will broadcast the adaptation of the successful trilogy by Juan Gómez Jurado, the greatest publishing phenomenon in Spanish in history. The homonymous Red Queen has sold more than 2 million copies in Spain alone. 74 published editions that finally give way to television screens.
Red Queen tells the story of Antonia Scott, a very special woman who has a gift that is also a curse: an extraordinary intelligence. Thanks to her, he has saved dozens of lives, but he has also lost everything. Juan Gómez Jurado himself is involved in the project, “when I write I can’t be thinking about an audiovisual adaptation because the materials are very different, but I like cinema so much that I have a very visual way of telling stories”.
The series will star Vicky Luengo and Hovik Keuchkerian and Andrea Trepat, Celia Freijeiro, Vicenta N’Dongo, Karmele Larrinaga, Pedro Brasó, Fernando Guallar and Eduardo Noriega will join the cast.
